ROLE:
I’m currently working with Adthlete in the NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) advertising space, focused on helping collegiate athletes build their personal brands and connect with trusted sponsors. I'm hands-on across product strategy, UX, and execution—helping the team move quickly toward launch without compromising on integrity, compliance, or user trust. The platform is designed to simplify brand partnerships and content management, allowing athletes to unlock NIL opportunities while maintaining focus on their academic and athletic commitments.
Challenge
One of the biggest challenges in this NIL project has been ramping up athletes in a way that feels seamless, trustworthy, and truly valuable. Many student-athletes are new to brand partnerships and already stretched thin with academic and athletic demands, so onboarding must be fast, intuitive, and clearly beneficial. We're designing systems that minimize the learning curve while still guiding athletes to build a strong personal brand. Balancing that with the need to launch quickly—and stay compliant with ever-shifting NIL regulations—has required careful prioritization and a deep understanding of both user mindset and market dynamics. To capitalize on the huge opportunities in this fast-moving market, I recommended using Lovable.ai to generate both code and designs, then tweaked the UX and UI via AI on my end. This approach enabled a quick GTM strategy, and we had a working product to test with real users within just one month.
Results
Using Lovable to generate both design and code, we rapidly brought the app to life—demoing a working product to potential brand partners and athletes within just one month. Early feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with users highlighting the platform’s simplicity and supportiveness.
Momentum is building quickly: several athletes and brands are already lined up for launch, eager to test and validate the experience. By accelerating our GTM strategy with AI-driven design and refinement, we’re positioned to deliver a strong initial rollout that proves value on both sides of the NIL marketplace. The next phase will focus on demonstrating traction and measurable impact.
